General Description of the role

We are looking for experienced Business Development Managers to join Lumi. Working within a small team, you will be responsible for driving growth through customer acquisition, developing your own sales pipeline, to maximise the business opportunities required for business growth. This role is a hybrid role of office and home working.

Job Responsibilities

  • Build a strong sales pipeline to develop a new high revenue generating client base and achieve sales targets.

  • Respond to inbound marketing leads and generate new outbound sales opportunities through an variety of outreach channels including phone, video and personalised email to effectively engage with prospective clients.

  • Build trusted relationships with prospect customer accounts to ensure that sales potential is fully exploited.

  • Effectively manage the sales cycle, from identifying target customers and prospecting to generate appointments and new business opportunities through to closing the deals and handoff to client services.

  • Convert new business sales opportunities to achieve maximum profitability against annual sales targets.

  • Fully understand customer needs and utilize every opportunity to maximize margins and ensure that sales potential is fully exploited.

  • Attend client appointments and establish relationships with potential high-performing account customers.

  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activity and pipeline within Salesforce CRM to effectively track and report on your sales pipeline and forecasts.

  • When required, represent the company at tradeshows, exhibitions, conferences, panel discussions, awards, networking, and client events.

  • Uphold a sound knowledge of the Lumi platform and services provided in addition to industry updates, market trends and competitors to become the IR and AGM platform expert.

  • Competently conduct your own client platform demos to successfully sell the value of the product.

  • Effectively produce your own client quotes and presentations to secure the contract.

  • Identify opportunities to increase client profitability, through upselling of new or existing products.

  • Support marketing by sharing feedback and suggestions for future collateral and sector specific campaigns.

  • Achieve monthly sales targets and KPI’s set in the role.

  • The role may require a small level of travel.

Required Professional Skills

  • Highly self-motivated, consultative sales professional with 3-4 years B2B field sales experience, ideally in the Tech sector.

  • An outstanding personal sales track record in business development.

  • A target-driven approach to work that can respond positively to a challenge.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills both in written and verbal format.

  • Ability to work both collaboratively and motivated to work independently.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to “hit the ground running”.

  • Ability to understand and interpret customer’s requirements.

  • Strategic planning abilities.

  • Ability to analyse data and act according to improve performance.

  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks to achieve successful outcomes
