It depends on when your members vote. Lumi Platform is for votes during a live meeting, online, hybrid or in the room. Lumi Elections is for elections run over a set voting window. Many organizations use both.

The board of directors' election process usually starts with nominations, followed by a ballot of candidates. Members vote either during a set election window with Lumi Elections, or at the annual meeting with the Lumi Platform, online or in the room. Results are counted as soon as voting closes.

Yes. Different member classes can have different voting rights, and weighted voting lets each vote count according to the member's entitlement.

Yes. Proxies are handled according to your organization's rules, and proxy votes are counted with all other votes in one result. Weighted votes are counted by each member's entitlement, including proxies held.

Yes. Members can vote online from their own device wherever they are. In the room, they can use their own device, a Lumi voting device handed out at registration, or a tablet at a voting kiosk. All votes are counted together in one result.

Each member is verified before voting, and with Lumi Elections, secret ballots keep each member's choice separate from their identity. The Lumi Platform is certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and independently audited to SOC 2 Type II. Fully managed elections receive annual ISAE 3000 Type 2 assurance, are certified at the ENS High category and are end-to-end verifiable. Self-service elections are certified to ISO/IEC 27001, 27017 and 27018 and ISO 9001. Every product is penetration tested by independent, CREST-approved specialists.
